Cambodia-China cooperation to improve the quality of tourism services to Chinese tourists
The Ministry of Tourism and the Chinese Consulate in Siem Reap organized a workshop on improving the quality of tourism services for Chinese tourists.
The workshop was chaired by Chea Se, Undersecretary of State for the Ministry of Tourism and representative for the Minister of Tourism Thong Khon and Liu Zhijie, head of the Chinese Consulate in Siem Reap. The workshop was attended by 200 people.
The workshop, launched with a special fund of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, was organized in line with the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism to develop the capacity of tourism professionals and tour operators to prepare to receive tourists, especially Chinese tourists.
The socio-economic re-launch in the country has boosted tourism at tourist destinations. With the recovery of the tourism sector, the Ministry of Tourism has considered and paid high attention to strengthening the quality of service and safety for tourists.
Mean Van Det, Director of the Department of Tourism Vocational Training, said that improving the quality of tourism services requires consideration of training and capacity development of professionals to be competent and highly professional in providing better and more satisfactory services to tourists.
